Q: Where is it?

Lauridsen Amphitheater at Water Works Park, 2251 George Flagg Parkway.

Q: When do gates open?

Gates open at 11 a.m. Music starts at noon and ends at 9:30 p.m.

Q: Are there tickets?

No. Cash and card donations accepted at the gates. $10 minimum donation. Concertgoers will receive bracelets to come and go, with separate ones for those of legal drinking age.

Q: What should I bring?

No seating will be provided, so please bring camp chairs or other things to sit on. Food, soda, beer and wine sold on site. Bikes can be parked at the on-site bike valet. Water-filling stations are located at the park. Masks are optional and up to your discretion.

Q: Anything not allowed?

Outside alcohol, pets, firearms and weapons of any kind prohibited.

Q: Is this a kid friendly event?

We will have food and pop and a playground nearby. But there will be beer drinking, smoking and rock and roll. We think it’s a great way to introduce your kids to the healing elixir of music and giving. But that’s up to you parents.

Q: Where can I park?

Parking will be available at the direction of Keck parking staff north of the venue, as well as on the roadway along the park.  (Damp ground may shift where people are directed at the park.)

Where will the money go and how will it be managed?

All donations from concertgoers will be sent to USA for UNHCR, a nonprofit that gets the highest marks from nonprofit Watchdog groups, and it will be earmarked for the humanitarian relief for Ukraine. Encourage those who can’t attend to donate anyway at https://tinyurl.com/ypytv7tz

Our sponsors have covered all production costs. No organizer or musician will receive compensation. Our fiscal partner, the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, will receive 2% of proceeds for handling our books.

What will we do if it rains?

If the forecast calls only for sprinkles, the show will go on as planned. It’s possible the grass may be wet, so plan accordingly. In the event of heavy rain or severe weather in the forecast, organizers will make an announcement early on Saturday about a change of venue. The alternative site is the Val Air Ballroom, 301 Ashworth Road.

Do you have concert merch?

Yes! RAYGUN will have concert Ts and its own Ukraine-themed gear on site, as well as our online store. Shop here: https://tinyurl.com/3hsys5u7. All proceeds from sales (after production costs) go to the cause.
